License & troubleshooting

Your license runs on three machines. Deactivate from settings on the machine you're retiring - or from your dashboard at proof.bookproofs.com if you can't get to that machine anymore.

After updating on a Mac, the first launch may ask for your login keychain password. That's macOS checking that the new version is allowed to read the license credentials BookProofs keeps in your keychain. Enter your Mac login password and click Always Allow so it doesn't ask again on the next update.

If the originals move after import, the Check for missing files option in settings can confirm this and you can then point BookProofs to the folder they've moved to.
