Client proofing
Sending proofs, client feedback and your dashboard.
Send a proof to a client
0:02Click the Proof button, enter your client's name and email, tick the box to send yourself an identical copy, then pick the default message or write and save your own. Check the email preview and click Create proof.
What your client sees
0:26They click "view your photo book" in the email and it opens on any device. Nothing to install.
Client comments come into the app
0:34Feedback your client leaves on the online draft flows into BookProofs Designer, where you make the change, mark it resolved and respond. Comments batch in 30-minute intervals in both directions.
Send a revised proof
0:53When your first round of changes is done, click Proof again, check the messaging and Create proof. Clients can see past comments and past revisions by default; that can be switched off in your dashboard.
Client approval
1:06Your client clicks Approve book and you get an email letting you know that you're good to export and send off to your print vendor.
Your photographer dashboard
1:26Your dashboard is at proof.bookproofs.com - sign in with the same username and password you used to activate your BookProofs Designer license. It lists every client proof, who's waiting on a revision from you, who you're waiting on, and which books are approved.
Manage an existing proof
1:49The drop-down on each proof lets you view the proofing page, edit the client's name or email, view version history, delete the proof, approve or unapprove the book, or resend the link.
Studio branding on proofs and emails
2:11In dashboard settings you can set your studio name and logo, apply basic email branding, and change whether clients can see past comments and proofs.
The My Proofs area in the app
2:23The button to the left of Proof opens My Proofs: previous comments on past versions, opening any project linked to a proof, viewing the proof online, and relinking a proof to a project if you need to.
Toggle comments and proofing numbers
2:44Left of the My Proofs button is a toggle that turns comments and proofing numbers on or off for any book currently in active proofing.
